DAVID NEWTON

David is an award-winning UK-based break-through director with a specialisation in action and fight choreography and direction. He has already won awards for Best Fight Scene and Best Action Choreography for his short film Wrath of God at the NOVA Film Festival 2016.

David has also established himself as a successful director in the music video field, working on multiple projects with Johnny Wore Black that have enjoyed international airing over Sky and cable.

As a life-long fan of film with a history of working within the film industry, David has been able to take his inspiration from working directly with some of the greatest directors of our time, from Ridley Scott to Martin Scorese, Ron Howard to Christopher Nolan.

Now, as a director, David has taken his interest and years of experience behind the camera where he continues to develop and hone his own style in both directing and writing.

Wrath of God - a short film about a girl who is given a godly power not seen in this world for 350 years. Treading on the verge of a new age of darkness, this unassuming girl and the Wrath of God are humanity's only hope.

Using characters taken from his collaboration with writer Charlie Ramsay London 66, Wrath of God is David's latest and most ambitious directing project to date and is set to be premiered during 2015. He has the direction of a full-lenth feature film in his sights and is looking for producers to work with.
